I really don't get why they couldn't make these things upgradable. The RadBeacon app from Radius Networks requires an Android device running Android 4.3 or higher and equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities. The 99 came out just over a month after I bought my 26, and now they got those 3 digit ones. Because the field is 6 bytes long (48 bits), there are 2 48 281 trillion combinations.
